MTN Project Fame officially unveils Chidinma Ekile to the press
MTN project fame season 3 have come and gone but the memories of its intriguing moments still lingers on. From the selection of the final 18 contestants that made it to the academy down to the announcement of the final winner, it was suspense-filled. People would hardly expect that one of the "underdogs" in terms of size, age and gender, would finally turn out to be the final winner of the 2.5million naira money and the car prize. But call it luck, hard work, bravado, diligence or even dedication, Chidinma Ekile managed to emerge as the final winner. On the 5th of October, MTN project fame through their media partners, Marketing Mix, finally unveiled Chidinma to the press and trust me she displayed the virtues of a real winner that she was. Firstly her stunning looks is something to behold and then her self confidence has really appreciated and she was no more the timid-looking Chidinma we were all accustomed to on T.V. The 21years old,Imo state indigene who attributed her success to God and hard work told the press that she was shocked and didn't believe her ears when are name was announced as the winner bearing in mind that the other remaining two-Tolu and Ochuko were also strong contenders. She went on to say that being herself, her willingness to learn and not being too self confident made her achieve her feat. Bearing in mind that she is the very first female contestant to ever win the West African Project Fame since inception, i have often wondered how she won the highest number of votes that night, but i was proven beyond doubt after the interactive session that she was worth it after-all. Being the 6th child of seven children, she had always had the love for music at a tender age but only got the chance to manifest that at the academy. She claimed to have been practicing for the contest even before she got into the academy but got even better by the tutoring she received form the "Faculty" whilst in the house. When asked where she got the inspiration to write the soft-rock single "Directions" (a song she performed at the academy), she stated that she got her inspiration for the song when she was lonely and going through a tough time at the academy but went along to emphasis that she could actually do a different genre of music and that her best was yet to manifest. . Chidinma, who intends to study Mass Communication, wants to spend her fortune strictly on school, family and music. She intends to be an exemplary role model for other aspiring ladies out there.
